CHICAGO, Ill. – The MSOE women's basketball team closed out their regular season with a big 58-52 comeback win against Illinois Tech.

MSOE RAIDERS – 58
Illinois Tech - 52
HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (17-7, 11-4 NACC) and Illinois Tech (5-19, 4-12 NACC) were evenly matched in the opening quarter, with neither team holding a lead greater than one possession. The Scarlet Hawks would break a tie with 20 seconds left in the first quarter before Skylar Flanagan hit a three to give the Raiders an 11-10 lead at the end of the first frame. The second quarter was just as evenly matched, with both teams trading the lead until the final two minutes, when the Raiders sent the Scarlet Hawks to the free throw line on five of six straight possessions. The Scarlet Hawks hit their shots from the charity stripe to secure a six-point lead at the half, 29-23 in favor of Illinois Tech.
- The Raiders would trail by as much as nine points in the third quarter, before a Dani Mendez layup began to turn the momentum in the Raiders favor. Halena Hill would make a jumper followed up by Mahima Chokshi getting three points the old-fashioned way to knot the game up at 42-42 to close the third quarter. The Raiders would take the lead back on their first possession in the fourth quarter, and the Scarlet Hawks would never take it back. The Raiders would get sent to the free throw line down the stretch, shooting just well enough to hold the Scarlet Hawks at bay and secure the 58-52 comeback win.
