HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first 15 minutes were nearly silent until Eau Claire (9-2-3, 3-0-0 WIAC) got their first shot off but was blocked. MSOE (10-4-3, 7-2-1 NACC) would block the next three shots until the 32nd minute when the Blugolds would have their shot go high. Ditar Useni would get the first Raiders' shot in the 37th minute but was blocked as the two would go into the break scoreless.
- It would take almost ten minutes into the second half for the sparks to begin as Nico Picha took a rebound off two Blugold defenders just inside the post to give the Raiders a 1-0 lead. In the 71st minute, the Blugolds would draw a foul in the box for a penalty kick opportunity, hitting the lower corner to tie the game at one. The Raiders would only get one more opportunity in the game as Austin Killen would shoot high but the defense would continue to stay locked in, forcing zero shots on the goal for the remainder of the game to draw.
