HOW IT HAPPENED
- Aurora (20-8, 11-2 NACC) came out flying to open the match, getting the first six points before MSOE (7-20, 5-9 NACC) was able to cut it down to two after Gillian McDaniel and Alyssa Rusch teamed up for the block. The Spartans quickly from there made it a double-digit lead at 16-6 and despite a late push from the Raiders held on to take the set 25-17.
- The Raiders went into the second set ready to battle as Katie Moser led the charge offensively as they held a 14-13 lead at the midway point. After the Spartans took back the lead, McDaniel went on a run of her own to cut it to one at 23-22 but couldn't finish the job as they took the set 25-22. The Spartans closed out the final set, hitting .609 and making the zero attacking errors to win 25-10.
