ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The MSOE women's wrestling team made their program debut on Tuesday night, the 26^th sport to compete for the Red and White.  After no team scores were recorded for their matches against Augustana College, the Raiders would fall to Illinois Wesleyan in their first official dual by a score of 25-5.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• vs. Illinois Wesleyan
  • The Raiders and Titans traded forfeits at 103 and 110, with Jackie Zuniga Rangel receiving the first points for the Red and White.  Illinois Wesleyan picked up fall victories at 124 and 145, with the Titans adding forfeits wins at 131 and 160 to secure the 25-5 win.

• vs. Augustana College
  • The Raiders clashed with the Vikings in various exhibition matches, but no team scores were recorded as MSOE saw three wrestlers pull double duty, wrestling two bouts apiece.  Zuniga Rangel picked up a decision win at 110 in her first match, before recording a pinfall victory in the first round.
  • Alyssa Bentley split her two matches against the Vikings, going 1-1 at 117, taking a pinfall loss and recording a pinfall win, both in the first round, closing out the historic day for the program.

WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will compete in their first tournament, the Carthage Classic, on Sunday, December 7^th in Kenosha, Wis.  Matches are scheduled to begin at 9:00 A.M.
