MERCER, New Jersey – The MSOE Rowing teams raced at the MARC Championships in Mercer, New Jersey, on Sunday, as the Raiders fought through the rain to bring home a 5
th place finish for the Men's Varsity 8+ and a 7
th place finish for the Women's Varsity 8+.

HOW IT HAPPENED
	- In the final of the Women's Varsity 8+, the Raiders squad of Ava Pike, Paige Phillips, Duaa Aljalous, Autumn Bunker, Kaliska Klusmeyer, Jen Miller, Katerina Flierl, Madison Mina and coxswain Keith Perona finished the race with a time of 7:54.055, good enough for a 7th place finish, 36.104 second behind the conference champion St. Mary's Gaels.
- The MSOE Men's Varsity 8+ battled to improve on last year's 4th place finish, posting a time of  6:36.372 after earning their spot in the Grand Final.  The Raiders boat of Liam Otten, Asuka Suzuki, Trey Miller, Ryan LeMay, Len Wessel, David Frenkel, Vito Signaigo and Garin Schilling were lead by coxswain Ray Tinianow to finish 24.666 seconds behind the winning boat of the Bucknell Bison, slotting in at 5th place in the overall standings.
WHO'S ON DECK
The Women's rowing team has closed out their schedule for the 2024-25 season, while the Men's team has one final race on the calendar, the IRA National Championship starting on Friday, May 30
th.
