FINAL SCORE
MSOE RAIDERS – 74
Aurora Spartans - 114
HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (9-7, 7-2 NACC) trailed Aurora (13-3, 8-1 NACC) after a short Spartans run opened the contest, with back-to-back jumpers from Jonathan Burroughs and Mason Dopirak knotting the game up at 9-9. Aurora would go on a 9-0 run coming out of the deadlock, as the Spartans pushed their lead to sixteen points after a dunk with 4:05 left in the first half. Burroughs would immediately respond with a dunk of his own, and after consecutive makes from Isaac Wit and Matus Dopirak, the Red and White cut the Aurora lead down to eleven points. The Raiders and Spartans would trade three pointers to close the first half, with Aurora leading 49-35 at the break.
- Following halftime, the Raiders tried to get the deficit back to single digits, with free throws from Joey Jendusa cutting the Spartans lead to twelve points, the closest it would get in the second half. The Spartans maintained their efficiency from the field and from deep, posting a 25-6 run from the 14:08 mark to the 8:28 mark of the second half, and from there it was all Aurora, as the Raiders dropped their second conference game of the season after winning their previous five.
