Illinois Tech Scarlet Hawks - 57
HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (8-2, 3-0 NACC) and Illinois Tech (2-9, 1-3 NACC) each looked to start the New Year off with a victory, as the Raiders and Scarlet Hawks traded the lead back-and-forth in the first half, with Elly Kohl converting on the fast break to give the Red and White a 15-14 lead after the first quarter. MSOE and IT continued to trade the lead in the second frame until three points the old fashioned way from Shelby Glodowski gave MSOE a two possession lead, with a first-half buzzer beater from Gina Falls giving the Raiders a 37-28 lead at halftime.
- Coming out of the intermission, the Raiders would hold the Scarlet Hawks to ten points in the third quarter, building their lead up to 53-38 at the end of the frame. The Raiders lead would reach as much as 24 points after a layup from Dani Mendez, as the Red and White emptied the bench and got everyone in on the action. Lana Kerley would finish with a team-high 21 points as MSOE started off 2026 on the right foot with another conference win.
