HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders (8-4-4, 6-1-2 NACC) needed little time getting ahead of the Muskies (4-10-0, 3-6-0 NACC) as Shealan Biniam recorded the first of her two assists on a corner kick, setting up Faith Papazoglou to give MSOE a 1-0 lead just 2:47 into the game. From there the Raiders would continue to find the back of the goal at a breakneck pace, tallying five goals by midway through the first half, as a goal from McKinley Collins would induce a running clock the rest of the game, a display of the Raiders dominant effort. With the first half winding down, Alexis Lugonzo would score back-to-back goals in a span of two minutes, giving the Red and White a 7-0 lead at the break.
- Coming out of the break, scoring continued to come at ease for the Raiders, as Samantha Biesterfeld started off the half with her first goal of the game, before Hadleigh Ostrenga added her second. At the 63:49 mark, Biniam would tally a goal of her own, putting the Raiders ahead by a football score, 10-0. From there, Natalie Braun and Katelyn Milligan would get in on the fun, pushing the MSOE lead to 12-0 goals by the time it was said and done, the most lopsided outcome in a meeting between the two teams, and the first time the Raiders have scored double digit goals since the 2022 season.
