MILWAUKEE – The MSOE men's hockey team closed out their time in the Kern Center this season Friday night, defeating Lake Forest College on a three-goal run.
FINAL SCORE
MSOE RAIDERS – 3
Lake Forest - 1
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lake Forest (5-17-2, 5-11-1 NCHA) didn't waste time to settle down the home crowd, scoring just 1:47 into puck dropping to lead 1-0. As the period was winding down, Cole Beilke passed it over to Ethan Mann to send it five-hole to tie it up at one heading into the first break.
- The Raiders had the slight edge over the Foresters in the shots department, leading 11-10, but neither could find the back of the net as we headed into the third still tied at one. 5:34 in, Charles Fink skated to the races down the left side, hooking back right to take the lead 2-1. As the Foresters pulled their goaltender with under 90 seconds remaining, the Gramm McCormack sealed the deal with an empty net in front of him.
