GENEVA, Ill. – The MSOE men's hockey team had it's season end Saturday afternoon at Aurora University after answering Spartans goals two separate times but couldn't find the back of the net in the final period.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Aurora (22-4-1, 13-4-1 NCHA) didn't waste any time, striking just 15 seconds after the opening puck drop for the early 1-0 lead. MSOE (10-14-3, 7-8-3 NCHA) answered midway through the period with their penalty kill shining as Jackson Yee scored shorthanded to tie up the game at one. The Spartans would regain the lead just three minutes later, eventually heading into the first intermission leading 2-1.
- The Raiders tied up the game midway through the second period as Eddie Shepler scored after feeds from Seth Bernard and Gramm McCormack. The Spartans went on a two-goal run to end the second, building a multi-goal lead at the second intermission 4-2. The Spartans would keep the Raiders silent in the third period while adding two more to their total to seal it.

SEASON RECAP
The Raiders end their season with an overall record of 10-14-3, while going 7-8-3 in conference play. The Raiders had upset wins at home on November 22
nd against #11 Trine University and on February 6
th on the road at the Spartans, ranked #3 at the time.
