KENOSHA, Wis.– The MSOE women's lacrosse team dropped their final nonconference game of the season Saturday afternoon, falling to a high-flying offense in Carthage College.
RESULT
MSOE RAIDERS – 2
Carthage - 18
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Carthage (7-1, 0-0 CCIW) started off with a pair of goals to take a quick lead before Ashlyn Bode cut the deficit in half with a goal of her own to make it 2-1. The Firebirds answered with two more of their own to lead 4-1 after one. The Firebirds began to attack quickly in the second, scoring four in a five-minute span to make it 8-1. Chloe Ninmann took advantage of a man-up advantage late in the first half as she struck one past the Firebirds' goalie to make it 8-2 at the break.
- The Raiders couldn't find any rhythm coming out of the halftime break, unable to get any shots off in the third and just one on goal in the fourth. The Firebirds began to pour things on as netted five in both the third and fourth to ice the game.
