Jessa Alderman opened the outdoor season with a school record performance as the MSOE women' track & field team took second at the Carroll University Open.

- Ella Kwaterski led a 1-2 finish in the 10,000-meter run to start the day with a finishing time of 40:43.23 as Ada Parker took second in 43:11.44. June Kirkpatrick finished second in the 1,500-meter run in 5:18.85 as Alexis Dorner finished behind her in third in 5:27.27. Natasha Konop edged out the field in the 400-meter dash, finishing in 1:04.46 for the victory. Gillian McDaniel clocked 13.46 for third in the 100-meter dash, as Sophia Wong won the 5,000-meter run in 19:32.29.
- Over in the field events, fresh off her Indoor National Championship experience, Alderman won the shot put with an outdoor school record of 13.99 meters to win the event, followed by Katrina Wawrzyn with 12.47 meters and Josephine Jacklin with 12.03 meters for second and third. Jacklin took second in the discus throw with 36.58 meters, while Alderman took third in the hammer throw with 44.13 meters. Akira Lebron won the javelin with 34.05 meters, while also taking third in the triple jump with 9.99 meters as Evelyn Horvat took second with 10.07 meters.

The Raiders head to Whitewater next Friday, April 4
th, for the Rex Foster Twilight. Field events are set to begin at 11:00 a.m. with running events at 1:00 p.m.
