The Raiders (12-5, 8-4 NACC) played from behind much of the game, but caught the Sabres (10-7, 6-6 NACC) late and forced overtime.

Sarah Olewinski led Marian with 22 points and Megan Lantz added 17.
The Sabres got off to a fast start with three quick three-pointers to take an 11-2 lead and force the Raiders to play from behind for much of the game.
MSOE began to pull close midway through the second half at 39-37, but five quick MU points made it a 44-37 game. The Red & White would pull even when Trier made a pair of free throws and, after two Sabre charity tosses, hit a three from the top of the key to make it 51-51.
The teams traded free throws and they were tied again at 53-53. Kroll came away with a steal and gave MSOE the ball with the chance to go ahead. The team got two shots off in the final seconds, but Marian grabbed a rebound and called timeout with 7.3 seconds to go. The visitor's go-ahead attempt failed with a turnover out of bounds at the buzzer.
In the extra period, the Raiders got a quick basket from sophomore Shaylan Reardon off the tip, but could not find their rhythm on offense. They shot just 3-for-11 in overtime, while MU hit 2-of-4 and converted 6-of-10 free throws to pull away. The deficit was five when Trier hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to account for the final score.
MSOE shot 32.8 percent in the game, including 3-of-15 from three point range. Marian finished the game shooting 41.2 percent, making 7-of-19 from beyond the arc.
The Raiders return to the court Saturday at Aurora.
