OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – Sophomore Hannah Pekarek posted a pair of double-doubles as the MSOE women's volleyball team pushed its two matches to five game and four games, respectively, on the final day of the Pizza Hut Classic hosted by UW-Oshkosh.

The Raiders (0-5) fell to Martin Luther in a tight match, 25-20, 21-25, 25-21, 24-26, 15-13, before pushing Lawrence to four games at 25-20, 17-25, 25-18, 25-20.

Pekarek finished with 14 kills, 14 digs and six service aces in the opener against MLC. Junior Abby Born continued to take a more attacking role in the offense, finishing second on the team with nine kills to go with 22 assists.

Jade St. Germain led the Knights with 24 kills in the match, while Kira Grev chipped in 14 kills.

MSOE hit .126 for the match with 12 service aces and received 20 digs from junior Aleah Quast. Martin Luther posted a .172 attack percentage.

In the second match of the day, Pekarek tallied 11 kills and 10 digs. Born added seven kills, 25 assists and nine digs as the team hit .112.

Arianna Neumeyer paced the Vikings with 13 kills and 20 digs, with Claire Vinopal contributing 10 kills on 13 attacks. The team finished with a .125 attack percentage.

Pekarek represented MSOE on the Pizza Hut Classic All-Tournament Team.

The Raiders are back in action Tuesday, opening up league play at Concordia Wisconsin.
