Three Point Barrage Allows Raiders To Coast By IIT

Box Score

MILWAUKEE – MSOE women's basketball hit their home floor for the last time this month, taking on an Illinois Tech team that they defeated 77-39 earlier in the season. The Raiders once again scored in bunches against the Scarlet Hawks and tied some records on the way in a 22-point win on Tuesday night.

RESULTS
Illinois Tech – 46
MSOE – 68

HOW IT HAPPENED
MSOE (5-12, 5-7 NACC) never trailed in tonight's contest, scoring their first basket just 20 seconds in and hold the lead for the remaining 38:40. Meanwhile, Illinois Tech (0-17, 0-12) struggled to score throughout the ballgame, shooting just 29.8 percent from the field. The Raiders scored in double digits in each of the four quarters, highlights by a 24-point effort coming out of the locker rooms at the half. MSOE shot well above their season average of 32.9 percent tonight, as they saw 51.9 percent of their shots find the bottom of the basket. They also made 11 successful attempts from downtown, seven more than their average game. The Raiders did have a defensive lapse in the final frame, one that saw IIT carve ten points off the Red & White's already impressive lead, but overall it was a solid game from the home team that gets them back on track heading into the later stages of the NACC season.
