Box Score APPLETON, Wis. – Four seems to be the Raiders lucky number. MSOE hockey has scored four goals in the last five of six games, leading to positive results. Unfortunately, their opponent scored four as well, sending the contest into overtime and an eventual tie as the Raiders take three out of four possible points away from the series.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Follow the leader was the name of the game this evening. Once MSOE (8-8-5, 3-8-5 NCHA) scored, a Lawrence (5-14-2, 4-10-2 NCHA) goal was soon to follow. All the tallies occurred in the first and third frames, starting with an Evan Kearns drive that was set up by David Marabella and Stian Owens. Nick Redmon sandwiched a Lawrence goal when Nigel Nelson and Garrett Gintoli set him up to make it 2-1 before Lawrence scored once more to end the period at 2-2. Owens scored a goal of his own to open things up in the third, with Marabella helping out once more alongside Kearns. Nate Rogers wrapped up the MSOE scoring at 18:11 with helpers from Matt Hanewall and Brandon Turer, a goal that one would have assumed wrapped up the contest. Unfortunately, Lawrence scored an empty net goal with just 36 seconds left to go to send the game into overtime. Just three shots were taken between the two teams in the extra five minutes with none finding their way between the pipes, giving the Raiders their fifth tie of the year, their most since the 2016-17 campaign.
