Box Score ADRIAN, Mich. – Sometimes things just do not fall into place. That was the case this afternoon in Michigan as the Raiders were shutout for the first time this season and dropped their second straight game, this time to Adrian College by the score of 5-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Coming into this afternoon's non-conference matchup against Adrian (5-5-0, 0-0-0 NCHA South), the MSOE (4-2-0, 0-1-0 NCHA South) offense was nothing short than dependable. Averaging four goals a game, the Red and White put themselves in a position to win every single night. That is why the outcome of this contest was somewhat surprising. It was not the fact that they lost to a Bulldogs team that is the defending NCHA champions, but it was that the Raiders failed to get on the scoresheet. The Adrian defense cracked down on MSOE using adjustments that they made from when they faced off just one week prior in a 3-1 Red and White win. The Raiders were also held under 22 shots in their second straight game, this time registering just 19. Rock Boynton was solid in goal, but seven Raider penalties allowed Adrian to score three times on the man up advantage in their 5-0 victory over MSOE.

WHO'S ON DECK
With the season series tied at one game apiece, the Raiders and Bulldogs will square off twice more in less than a week. MSOE will host Adrian on February 5-6th in NCHA South divisional play. Friday night's game is scheduled for a 7:00 pm start.
