Box Score MILWAUKEE – With only three games to prepare for the conference season to begin the year, MSOE women's basketball needed to make the most out of every game. While tonight wasn't the best looking of ballgames, the Raiders came from behind in the fourth quarter to win their first contest of the season and had a breakout performance along the way.
FINAL SCORE
Lake Forest – 51
MSOE RAIDERS – 58
HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (1-1) had a shooting percentage of just 21.4 in the first half, which wasn't much worse than Lake Forest (0-1) who put the ball in the hoop at a 24.2 percent clip. However, the Foresters still held a three-point advantage heading into the locker rooms.
- The Raiders kept things close in the third quarter and outscored LFC by one to head into the final frame down only two points.
- The Red & White defense kicked into high gear in the final 10 minutes, but so did their offense. MSOE made two thirds of their shots in the fourth and limited Lake Forest to just 4 of 19 shooting.
- The Raiders completed the comeback using a 15-point run and ran their lead to as much as 11 in the 58-51 victory.
