Box Score MEQUON, Wis. – MSOE women's basketball opened up their 2021 season on the road against Concordia Wisconsin, so it is fitting that they finish the season with a two-game series at the home of the Falcons. Unlike the season opener though, the Raiders offense had another impressive outing and forced CUW to commit 23 turnovers in the Red & White's big conference victory on Friday evening.
FINAL SCORE
MSOE RAIDERS – 69
Concordia Wisconsin – 63
HOW IT HAPPENED
MSOE (6-5, 5-4 NACC North) got off to a good start in tonight's contest, scoring 18 points in each of the first two quarters. This effort was helped out by Concordia Wisconsin (8-5, 5-4 NACC North) scoring exactly 12 in each frame to give the Raiders a dozen point lead at halftime. Things got pretty dicey in the third, however. The Falcons outscored the Red & White 23-13, cutting the MSOE lead down to just two heading into the final quarter. The Raiders held their ground though and never let CUW take back the lead, though they did tie it 51-51 to ratchet up the tension in the waning minutes of the contest. The Raiders last six points came via free throws as they lock down a massive road win, dismissing the Falcons by six.
