Wresting Falls Short At CUW

MEQUON, Wis. – MSOE wrestling was back on the mat for the first time since mid-December and ready to take down rival Concordia Wisconsin on the road. Unfortunately, the Raiders were only able to secure points in four of the ten matches as they fell to the Falcons by 11 in CCIW conference action.

RESULT
MSOE RAIDERS – 22
Concordia Wisconsin – 33

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • After trading forfeits in 125 and 133 weight class bouts, Concordia Wisconsin (5-2, 2-0 CCIW) went on to win five of the next six matches.
  • MSOE (3-6, 1-2 CCIW) was able to get six points via a Max Sanderfoot fall in the 149 match before Jack Horihan got four tallies for the Raiders with a major decision in the 197 bout.
  • 285 weight class grappler Noah Nieberle brought his season record back up to the .500 mark with a fall at 2:21 but it was not enough for the Red & White in a 33-22 loss.

WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will head to the Al Hanke Invitational, which is hosted by Elmhurst University, on Saturday morning. The first match is scheduled for 9:00 am.
