ROCKFORD, Ill. – Having been eliminated from NACC tournament contention, MSOE women's volleyball headed into their second to last conference match to see if they could build some positive momentum moving into next season. The Raiders battled back from a 0-2 hole to take the Regents to a fifth set but couldn't pull out the win on Saturday night in Rockford.

MSOE RAIDERS – 2 (21, 23, 25, 25, 15)
Rockford – 3 (25, 25, 22, 16, 17)

HOW IT HAPPENED

• MSOE (3-18, 1-11 NACC) started off the match with two solid sets against Rockford (5-20, 2-10 NACC) but the Regents were just a little bit better. Raider kills of 11 and eight were supplanted by back-to-back frames of 13 from the home team as the Red & White had their backs up against the wall with losses of 25-21 and 25-23.
• However, the Raiders would not go down so easily. MSOE had three runs of three or more points in the third set to get on the board with their first victory of the game 25-22 before hitting a match high .444 to grab a dominate 25-16 decision.
• Down to the fifth and finale stanza, the two teams exchanged the lead six times and saw the match tied on seven occasions as the Red & White and the Regents battled for the winner take all set. MSOE rattled off three straight points with the Rockford holding set/match point but they would drop the final two rallies via attack errors to lose 17-15 and 3-2 overall.

RAIDER REMARKS

• The loss to the Regents snaps the Raiders ten game winning streak against Rockford.
• Junior Emily Stratton set a personal career high with 20 kills in the match. Her previous record of 19 was set back on September 30^th against Illinois Tech.
