Raiders Pillage Vikings In Three Goal Win

Box Score

MILWAUKEE – MSOE men's hockey returned to the ice for the first time in two weeks and welcomed Lawrence to the Kern Center for NCHA play. The Raiders dominated for most of the night and walked away with a 4-1 win over the Vikings to keep their win streak alive on Friday night.

FINAL SCORE
Lawrence – 1
(RV) MSOE RAIDERS – 4

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • (RV) MSOE (4-1, 3-0 NCHA) dominated play in the first period and had the results to show for it. The Raiders outshot Lawrence (0-5, 0-3 NCHA) 12-6 and scored the first two goals of the game. The first came six and a half minutes into the contest when Seth Bernard buried a puck past the Vikings goaltender off passes from Charlie Skinner and Stuart Harley. Brennan Dickey then scored on the power play seven minutes later with helpers going to Gramm McCormack and Christian Sabin.
  • The Vikings got on the board themselves late in the first to cut the Red & White lead in half and the score would stay 2-1 until eight minutes had elapsed in the third stanza. It was at that point that Preston Park set up Dylan Hadfield for another MSOE goal that restored their two tally advantage.
  • Dickey added another point on the night when he connected on Matt Hanewall's empty net goal to secure the win which moves their winning streak to four games. Nick Stofcheck was solid in net with 20 saves in 21 chances as the Raiders sink the Vikings 4-1.

  • The MSOE defense was on their game tonight and didn't allow more than eight shots in any period.
