Box Score APPLETON, Wis. – MSOE men's hockey looked to move to a perfect 4-0 in NCHA play when they traveled to take on Lawrence in the back half of a home-and-home series. Unfortunately, the Raiders first overtime game of the season didn't go their way as they fell to Lawrence 4-3 in the extra frame.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- (RV) MSOE (4-2, 3-1 NCHA) got the jump on Lawrence for the second straight night in the first period with two goals while giving up just one. Carson Jones was the first to light the lamp for the Raiders at 4:35 with the assist going to Jackson Hughes before Kevin Paganini set up Kyle Herbster on the power play eight minutes later.
- The Red & White failed to score in the second frame which allowed the Vikings to tie things up with their lone goal of the period. The Raiders took back the lead just 47 seconds into the third though when Herbster scored his second goal of the game thanks to passes from Stuart Harley and Christian Sabin.
- Lawrence would not go quietly however. They tied up the game at 3-3 with an extra man goal at 17:25 to send the game into overtime. The Vikings then took advantage of the free hockey and netted the game winner on the power play three minutes into the additional frame to earn their first win of the season and dealt the Raiders their first conference defeat of the year.
RAIDER REMARKS
- The Raiders dominated in the faceoff circle and won 40 of the 67 draws throughout the night.
- The contest was far from a clean game as there were a combined 36 minutes of penalties doled out throughout the evening.
