Box Score MILWAUKEE – MSOE men's hockey honored their senior class on Saturday evening inside the Kern Center as both the Raiders and Aurora Spartans wrapped up their 2021-22 regular season. Unfortunately, the Red & White were unable to send their upperclassmen into the postseason with a win as the Spartans shutout MSOE 4-0 at home.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (10-13-2, 8-9-1-0 NCHA) saw their chances of hosting a Harris Cup quarterfinals series end last night when they fell to No. 14 Aurora (17-7-1, 12-6-0-1 NCHA) 6-3, but the Raiders still went out to try and lock down the best seeding possible for the tournament.
- Unfortunately, they would not be in control of their own destiny. Aurora shutout the Raiders even though the Red & White topped the Spartans in chances 39-25.
- AU tallied one goal in both the first and second periods before adding two in the third to take down MSOE via a 4-0 final score.
RAIDER REMARKS
- Destined to meet in the playoffs, MSOE defeated Aurora in last years Harris Cup South semifinals 2-1 on their way to a trip to the Harris Cup championship round.
- There were a combined 16 penalties called tonight with the Raiders shutting down the Spartan's special team attack six out of seven times.

WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders and Spartans will continue battling each other when the Harris Cup Playoffs begin next weekend. MSOE will travel to Aurora for two contests and a possible minigame with the winner advancing to the conference semifinal round. Game one will be Friday, February 18th starting at 7:00 pm with game two the next day at 3:00 pm.
