Box Score MILWAUKEE – Even with a 6-1 defeat on Friday night, MSOE men's hockey knew they could hang with No. 5 St. Norbert on the ice. They proved that once again tonight but a momentum swing late in the second period dealt the Raiders a three-goal loss on Saturday evening inside the Kern Center.
FINAL SCORE
No. 5 St. Norbert – 5
MSOE RAIDERS – 2
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Much like last night, MSOE (10-11-2, 7-7-1-1 NCHA) stayed within striking distance in the first two periods of action against No. 5 St. Norbert (20-3-0, 14-0-2-0 NCHA). The Raiders gave up just one goal in the opening 20 minutes before things got interesting in the second frame.
- After the Green Knights scored their second of the game to make it 2-0, the Raiders answered back with two goals in three minutes. Brendan Ferguson connected with the Red & White's first tally of the game thanks to David Marabella before Stian Owens and Eliot Friedow assisted on Christian Sabin's game tying goal.
- The Raiders couldn't keep the momentum on their side heading into the third, however. SNC regained the lead with less than three seconds left before the second intermission and went on to score another pair of goals in the third. They also held the Red & White to just three shots on goal in the last period as MSOE fell 5-2.
