Men's Team
Coming off a team victory against two of the top teams in the country, the Raiders will be tested yet again as they face Division I competition at the John Tierney Classic. Host UW-Milwaukee is one of the top teams in the Horizon League, finishing second a year ago in both indoors and outdoors at their conference championship and will provide great competition to push the Red & White to many personal bests.
Events To Watch
- 3,000-meter run
- Last Time Out: David Golisch led Raiders in 9:22.85
- After posting times that currently sit at the top of the conference in the 5,000 meters a week ago, the same group will look to do the same in the 3,000-meter run. The Raiders will also look to go after the school record of 8:55.91 that was set back in 2009.
- 60-meter dash
- Last Time Out: Isaac Hunter 2nd Place (7.00)
- The senior has shown immense progression so far this indoor season and will look to continue against high level competition this Saturday. Hunter currently sits 2nd in the NACC in the event and looks to jump up to the number one seed after the weekend.
- Shotput
- Last Time Out: Keegan Rhodes 3rd Place (13.31m)
- Rhodes has kicked off his indoor season with personal bests in both the shot put and weight throw and looks to keep pushing his mark further this Saturday. Freshman Elijah Villa and Ethan Wrasman are two to look out for as well coming off 4th and 5th place finishes a week ago respectively.
Women's Team
The Raiders saw many improvements last week at the Cardinal Opener and finished third as a team behind University of Chicago and North Central. The level of competition will not slow down for the Red & White as they get to take on Division I talent against host school UW-Milwaukee on Saturday.
Events To Watch
- Weight Throw
- Last Time Out: Ava Larson 3rd Place (14.00m)
- Sophomores Larson and Katrina Wawrzn are coming big finishes at the Cardinal Opener a week ago and look to keep their improvement going Saturday.
- 3,000-meter run
- Last Time Out: Molly Stewart 3rd Place (11:11.21)
- Stewart finished third last weekend in her first 3,000-meter run of the season, behind runners from distance power University of Chicago. With the rust-shaken off, Stewart to looks to drop more time off and go after the sub-11 barrier, which would be a school record for the Red & White.
- Triple Jump
- Last Time Out – Gillian McDaniel 4th Place (9.92m)
- McDaniel has progressed in both meets this season in the triple jump and looks to crack the 10-meter barrier this weekend. The freshman is also set to compete in the long jump and looks to improve on her mark there as well.
