FOND DU LAC, WIS. – The MSOE women's basketball team extended their win streak to five games after beating the Marian University Panthers 59-44 Saturday afternoon. The Raiders kept the Sabres in foul trouble all night and ended up running away with the game after overcoming a slow start.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (5-1, 1-0 NACC) and Marian (1-5, 0-1 NACC) took the lead to open the contest, behind a Mahima Chokshi layup and a three from Halena Hill, until Marian's Kiara Williams hit three of four shots, including drawing a foul that put the Raiders in early foul trouble. Marian wouldn't give up the lead again until after halftime.
- The Raiders came out of the break looking at a 27-23 scoreboard, trailing by just four, and quickly poured the points on and outscored the Sabres 24-11 in the third quarter. The Raiders began to put in work down low and got to the charity stripe multiple times, with Dani Mendez hitting five of six free throws to help mount the comeback. Chokshi got to the line as well and sunk the free throw that would give the Raiders their first lead since the first quarter, bringing the score to 34-33.
- The Raiders would catch fire and continue to get to the line and keep the Sabres in foul trouble all night, with five different Raiders taking a trip to the line. Mendez put up 19 points on eleven total trips to the free throw line, while Raekyiah Williams had another dominant night on the glass, hauling in 10 rebounds.
