Season Overview

A year that has saw many top three team performances throughout the season, the Raiders have shown that can compete against many teams and could shock some people this weekend. The Raiders finished seventh a year ago at the indoor championships and could finish well in the top five when the weekend comes to an end.

Events To Watch

  • Sprints
    • MacKenzie Bollis had her first victory of the season two weeks ago at the Dick Hendricks Invite in the 400 meters, running just off her indoor best with a 1:02.33. She's seeded fifth going into the weekend and could also score in the 200-meter dash sitting just outside scoring position.
  • Distance
    • Kaitlyn Rodman reset school records this season in both the mile and 3,000-meter run and currently sits third to hopefully add two all-conference honors to her impressive indoor season so far. Molly Stewart is also in the hunt for All-Conference honors in the 5,000-meter run where she sits third as well and could go under the 19-minute barrier for the first time in her career.
  • Jumps
    • Grace Menzia currently sits in second with her mark back at the Aurora Grand Prix on January 28th. However, if she finds a way back to her personal best of 3.50m, she has potential to pull out the victory for 10 big points for the Raiders. Also, MacKenzie Caves could score points in both the Long Jump and Triple Jump as she sits sixth and third in those events, as Gillian Spuhler and Gillian McDaniel can add depth in the Triple Jump as well, seeded fifth and seventh respectively.
  • Throws
    • One of the brightest spots for the Raiders on the women's side has been the depth of each throwing event. In the shot put, four Raiders are seeded to score led by Katrina Wawrzyn in All-Conference position in third. In the weight throw, Elizabeth Mikkelson broke the school record with a toss of 15.60m to be seeded second, along with Ava Larson who is seeded fourth.
  • Multi
    • Morgan Boze will make her debut this weekend competing in the pentathlon, recording two personal best this season in the five events she will be competing in. With only eight entries in the event, guaranteed points will come from Boze after the completion of all five events.
