MSOE RAIDERS – 2
Wisconsin Lutheran - 3
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first set seesawed back and forth until a 5-0 run from MSOE (5-9, 0-3 NACC) gave them the largest lead of the set 19-16. Leading 21-17 hoping to put it away, Wisconsin Lutheran (7-8, 3-0 NACC) struck to take a 23-21 lead, eventually taking it 25-23.
- The Raiders benefitted in the second set by striking first and playing with a lead the whole set, winning 25-23. Just as it seemed like the Red & White had all the momentum, the Warriors struck a 14-1 run to completely flip the third set, winning 25-21.
- The Raiders continued to battle and not go away beginning the fourth set up 3-0. The shades of the second set reappeared as playing with a lead made the Red & White comfortable, forcing a fifth set winning 25-20. The Warriors benefitted for an early lead in the fifth set, which the Raiders couldn't fight back from, giving up the final four points to fall just short 15-10.
