MILWAUKEE – After coming up just short in the first two sets, the MSOE women's volleyball took defeat on Thursday evening at home against Concordia University Wisconsin.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After neither team gaining clear momentum early, MSOE (11-12, 3-4 NACC) took a five-point run after a kill from Ana Knutson to take a 9-7 lead. The Raiders continued to hold their two-point lead throughout after a kill from Emma Schattschneider before Concordia Wisconsin (11-9, 6-1 NACC) tied things at 20. After Samantha Johnson gave the Raiders an edge leading 22-21, the Falcons rattled off the final four points to take the first set 25-22.
- The Falcons didn't let up to begin the second set starting a 4-0 run, but the Raiders stopped the momentum after that to cut the deficit 6-5 after a service ace from Madalynn Skwarek. The Raiders took the lead 16-15 after a block from Johnson and Sydney Emineth and grew it up to 20-18 after a block from Ava Larson. After the Falcons went back into the lead, the Raiders tied things with back-to-back kills from Schattschneider but wasn't enough as the Falcons just eclipsed them 26-24. In the third set after the Raiders cut their deficit to 15-14 after kill from Ashley Murphy, the Falcons blew things open on a 6-0 run. The Raiders added one more kill to their total before they finished things off 25-16.
