MILWAUKEE – The MSOE men's hockey team couldn't pull off the weekend sweep over Aurora University Saturday night, despite a two assist night from
Jacob Bosse.
FINAL SCORE
MSOE RAIDERS – 3
Aurora - 5
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Just as the midway point of the first period passed, Aurora (12-10-1, 9-5-0 NCHA) flipped the switch from the previous night and got the night started with a goal, only to just minutes later have Riley Ott put MSOE (12-9-2, 4-9-1 NCHA) on the board to be knotted at one. Just when the Raiders hoped to go into the break deadlocked, the Spartans stole a goal with 25 seconds to go up 2-1.
- The Spartans continued to put the pressure on as the second period began with another goal for a 3-1 lead, but that wasn't enough to put the Raiders away yet. The Raiders took their next two goals off power plays when Adam Smith and Brennan Dickey each connected to give them new life as the game was back tied up at three. Unfortunately, two quick goals from the Spartans midway through essentially put the Raiders away.
