HOW IT HAPPENED
- Vs Farmingdale State
- The Raiders and Rams wasted no time getting runs on the board, as the Rams played small ball to bring around two runs in the top of the first after a leadoff double. After a leadoff single for the Raiders, Faith Matta swiped second and advanced to third on a wild pitch, scoring on a Jenna Trewyn groundout to get the Raiders on the board.
- The Raiders would take the lead in the bottom of the second as Caroline Fouras and Jenna O'Donnell hit back-to-back RBI singles to put the Raiders ahead 3-2.
- The Rams would score twice in the top of the sixth inning to take a 5-4 lead and set the Raiders up for a dramatic finish. MSOE would get three base hits to open the bottom of the sixth, before O'Donnell came up clutch for the Raiders with a base hit that brought two runs in. The Raiders would add some insurance thanks to a couple errors from Farmingdale State, and despite a late push, Katie Pollock got the Rams to pop out with the bases loaded to secure the 9-6 win.
- Vs Middlebury
- The Raiders and Panthers were scoreless through two innings before Trewyn reached on an error that also brought Fouras across the plate to give the Raiders a 1-0 lead, and give Trewyn the program record for career RBI. The Panthers would tie the game in the bottom of the inning, capitalizing on a Raider error, before hitting an inside the park home run to deep right field to take a 4-1 lead and put the Raiders behind.
- Trailing 5-1 in the top of the fifth, Celine Pacheco reached on an error by the Panthers shortstop to bring Noel Dahl across the plate and cut the deficit to three. In the top of the sixth Sadie Gaberell and Matta singled before O'Donnell laid down a sacrifice bunt to move the runners into scoring position. Trewyn delivered a hard-hit single to center, bringing the Raiders within a run. The Raiders were unable to muster the same magic in the seventh, and fell to the Panthers 5-4 to close out their spring break trip.
