VERONA, Wis. – In a win and in final game of the season, the MSOE women's lacrosse season came to a close in the regular season finale at Edgewood College.
RESULT
MSOE RAIDERS – 1
Edgewood - 9
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood (8-8, 4-2 NACC) didn't waste time building up their lead, scoring four goals within the first six minutes and five in the first ten. After shutting them down for a majority of the second quarter not allowing another goal until just minutes remaining in the half, Emily Runey put MSOE (4-10, 2-4 NACC) on the board to put them down 6-1 heading into the break.
- While the Eagles' offense continued to be held silent for the most part in the second half, the Raiders offense was completely silent as well as the scoring for the day on their side was completely halted. The Eagles tacked on two more goals in the third quarter and once in the fourth. The weather in the area stopped the game after the Eagles final goal and eventually was ended there, finishing the Raiders season.
