HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders (6-5, 2-1 NACC) wasted no time taking the lead on the Buccaneers (2-7, 0-3 NACC) as Ethan Haselwood scored the opening goal of the contest at the 12:50 mark of the first quarter. The Raiders would put up seven unanswered goals in the first frame, including two apiece from Case Roberts and Dawson Smith. The Raiders would add two more in the second quarter, as MSOE rolled to a 9-0 halftime lead. The Buccaneers turned the ball over 14 times as the MSOE defense, led by Griffen Kaiser and Carson Harris, bullied Beloit in a first-half shutout.
- The Raiders would increase their lead to as much as 15 points in the second half, scoring six straight goals before Beloit finally put themselves on the board with two minutes left in the third quarter. The Raiders bench would get in on the action down the stretch as Christian Briggs forced a turnover, picked up the ground ball and broke away for an unassisted goal, to cap off the 17-4 win and get the Raiders back above .500.
