Men's Soccer Disrupted by Eagles

MILWAUKEE – Opening up conference play against one of the top teams in the region, the MSOE men's soccer team couldn't find a way to slow down Edgewood College.

RESULT
MSOE RAIDERS – 1

Edgewood - 3

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After a slow start on both sides, the road team struck first in the 18th minute for a 1-0 lead. Edgewood (6-1-1, 2-0-0 NACC) didn't waste time to create a cushion on MSOE (1-2-4, 0-1-0 NACC) as they struck again ten minutes later for a 2-0 lead that they held at the half-time break.
  • The Eagles continued to put pressure on the Raiders, adding another goal five minutes in. The Raiders finally broke the shutout when Nico Picha found Ditar Useni for his first collegiate goal in the 60th minute to make the game 3-1. The Raiders only had a few more opportunities the rest of the way but couldn't find a way to get it past the Eagles goalie.
