Illinois Tech - 1
HOW IT HAPPENED
- As things were quiet for nearly the first 30 minutes as just two shots wide were fired, Illinois Tech (8-5-3, 5-3-2 NACC) was the first to get a shot on goal, that was stopped by Asher Harris. Juan Pablo Escobar and Braedon Smith would each come close as they would each hit one off the post, along with Escobar forcing a save from the Scarlet Hawks, as the two went into the half scoreless.
- MSOE (10-4-2, 7-2-1 NACC) tested the Scarlet Hawks in the early minutes of the second half as Nico Picha and Adrian Manchado would reach shots at the net but couldn't get one past. In the 84th minute, the scoreboard was awoken as the Scarlet Hawks would nail a shot at the top of the box to take the lead. Owen Gendrich would have the final opportunity to tie up the game with under three minutes to play but couldn't get it done.
