HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (6-1, 2-0 NACC) trailed CUW (2-5, 1-1 NACC) through the first quarter of play, after it took the Red and White nearly five minutes to score their first basket. After trailing 16-12 to start the second quarter, the Raiders would take their first lead of the game after their third successful offensive possession, as a free throw from Halena Hill put MSOE ahead 17-16. A fastbreak layup from Aleah Butterbrodt and a late free throw from Mahima Chokshi put MSOE in the driver's seat headed to the halftime break, with the Raiders ahead 23-22.
- In the second half, the Raiders defense would reach another level, holding the Falcons to just five points in the third quarter. The Raiders would go on an 11-0 run to give themselves a 34-22 lead coming out of the break, with Chokshi recording eight of the eleven points, including back-to-back three pointers to start the run. In the fourth quarter it continued to be all Raiders, and all defense, as MSOE held CUW scoreless for the first 8:47 of the fourth quarter with the Red and White securing their sixth straight win, and their second in conference play.
