HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (13-10, 9-5 NACC) would take an early 8-2 lead over the Stars (5-18, 1-13 NACC) after back-to-back threes from Lana Kerley opened the contest. Dominican would not roll over for the Red and White, shooting 60% from the field in the opening quarter as MSOE trailed 22-15 heading into the second. Dani Mendez would open the scoring in the second frame from the free throw line, and just a couple minutes later, a three from Mahima Chokshi had the game tied up at 22-22. The rest of the quarter was all Raiders as their defense dialed in and held the Stars under 8% from the field in the second frame, building their lead to 34-26.
- Coming out of the halftime break, the Stars had no answer for the Raiders offense as they could only continue to foul, with MSOE taking fourteen shots from the charity stripe in the third quarter. The rest of the way was all MSOE, as Elly Kohl racked up a career-high six assists while Kerley posted the fifth 20-point game of her career. With the win, the Red and White have secured their spot in the NACC tournament. The Raiders currently sit in a three-way tie for 5th with two games left in the regular season.
