ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The MSOE women's lacrosse opened their 2025 season a few days later than expected in the Quad Cities Wednesday afternoon, taking on Augustana College. The Vikings erased a four-goal advantage the Raiders had in the first half as they suffer a loss in their season opener.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Augustana (1-1, 0-0 CCIW) got on the board quickly put Vayda Flower took things herself for two quick ones afterwards to give MSOE (0-1, 0-0 NACC) a 2-1 lead after the first. Flower finished off her hat-trick with a goal to open the third from Ninmann, as she and Lilly Johnson each found the back of the net within seconds of each other to give the Raiders a 5-1 midway through the second quarter. The Vikings went on a run to end the first half, cutting the deficit 5-4 at the break.
- The Vikings tied things up almost four minutes in the second half before taking their first lead since the start of the game heading into the fourth quarter. Another Viking goal made their advantage 7-5, but Ninmann cut it to one with a man-up goal with 11:59 remaining. Unfortunately, the Vikings added three-more to their total to sit comfortably to take the victory.
