HOW IT HAPPENED
  • vs. SUNY Geneseo
    • Geneseo (7-3, 0-0 Empire 8) made a statement in the blink of an eye, putting an 11 spot in the top of the first. Alyssa Jacobson in the bottom half of the inning sent a solo shot past the right field fence to put MSOE (3-7, 0-0 NACC) on the board.
    • The Knights added two more runs in the second and three in the third to take a 16-1 lead. Caroline Fouras added a two-run single in the bottom of the third and Anna Marnell scored Jenna O'Donnell with a single in the fifth before the Knights shut the door on the game early.
  • vs. Amherst
    • The Raiders found themselves in a massive pitchers dual in game, with Katie Pollock holding Amherst (8-2, 0-0 NESCAC) to just one hit through the first five innings. The Mammoths broke the scoreless game in the bottom of the sixth when they scored two put pressure on the Red & White in the top of the seventh. After Autumn Sadler singled and then advanced to second on a pass ball, the Mammoths struck out three straight to seal it.
