MOUNT VERNON, Iowa – The MSOE women's lacrosse team traveled to the Hawkeye State for a Sunday morning battle with Cornell College. After having a lead at the first half break, the Rams closed on a massive run to steal it from the Raiders.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Cornell (5-5, 3-1 NACC) opened up the game with three straight goals to begin. Chloe Ninmann got her first goal of the game at the 6:58 mark before Halleigh Spaulding fed Gwen Demille in a man-up situation just minutes later. Just before the first quarter horn sounded, Lilly Johnson tied up the game at three.
- Johnson stayed hot in the first minute of the second quarter to give MSOE (1-9, 1-3 NACC) a 4-3 lead. The two traded goals after Ninmann added her second and then completed the hat-trick to take a 6-4 lead. The Rams tacted on two more to have a tied game at the break, 6-6.
- The Rams shutout the Raiders in the third quarter, scoring two of their own to have a 8-6 lead at the end of the third. Ashlyn Bode got in on the scoring action to begin the fourth to cut it to one, but the Rams held them off scoring two more to take it.
