MILWAUKEE – The MSOE softball team celebrated Senior Day and closed out the 2025 regular season on Saturday afternoon as the Raiders hosted the Marian Sabres for a two-game series.  The Raiders would go on to sweep the Sabres, run-ruling Marian in a game two blowout.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Game One
    • MSOE (19-21, 15-9 NACC) and Marian (20-18, 15-9 NACC) were scoreless after two innings of play before the Sabres struck first.  Marian would hang three runs on the Red and White in the top of the first on a homerun to dead center field, as the Raiders fell behind 3-0.
    • The Raiders would strike back in the bottom of the frame, doing damage with two outs in the bottom of the third.  With Autumn Sadler and Alyssa Jacobson on the basepaths, Jayda Nelson smashed a triple to right field to cut the MSOE deficit to 3-2.  Carlee Emery followed it up with an RBI single up the middle to tie the game up, before back-to-back hits from Katie Pollock and Caroline Fouras gave MSOE a 4-3 lead.
    • Pollock would shut the Sabres down the rest of the way, allowing just two hits in the final four innings while finishing with six strikeouts as MSOE held on to win game one by a final score of 4-3.
  • Game Two
    • Game two was all MSOE from the first pitch to the last, as the Raiders jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the very first inning as the Red and White capitalized on a couple errors from the Sabres.  After taking the early advantage, the Raiders would add insurance runs in the bottom of the third, as a single from Anna Marnell and a double from Addie Kortman upped the Red and White's lead to 7-0.  A double from Jenna O'Donnell would push the score to 9-0 in favor of MSOE, as the Raiders looked to shorten game two
    • The Raiders would cruise to the five-inning run-rule shortened victory over the Sabres as the Red and White made it a clean 10-0 after an RBI single from Olivia BealsBrynn Timmer would throw her second consecutive shutout as the Raiders dominated the Sabres in a 10-0 win, kicking off the Senior Day celebration in style.
