HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (5-3-1, 2-1-0 NACC) tried to hit the ground running first, getting the first shot on goal in the eighth minute as Ditar Useni fired it off, but was saved by the Edgewood (5-1-2, 3-0-0 NACC) keeper. After trading shots, the Eagles were able to strike first, scoring in the 25th minute. As the next nine minutes were slow with just Lachlan Ladd getting a shot on goal, the Eagles added to their lead with another goal, making the game 2-0 at the break.
- The Raiders continued to put heavy pressure on the Eagles, controlling the ball in their offensive end, getting four shots off in the first ten minutes, three going towards the net. After Tanner Cellio was able to make a play on the ball that trickled out to Useni, he was able to send it over to Steven Thomas who fired it to the top right corner to cut the deficit to 2-1. The Raiders continued to control things offensively, allowing just one shot on goal the rest of the way, but couldn't find any more shots at all to get past the Eagles' keeper.
