PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The MSOE women's volleyball team competed at the UW-Platteville Quadrangular Saturday afternoon, dropping a pair of losses to University of Wisconsin-Stout and University of Wisconsin-Platteville, who is receiving votes in the latest national poll.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- vs. Wisconsin-Stout
- After trading points to begin with MSOE (3-11, 1-0 NACC) taking a 4-3 lead after a kill from Sydney Emineth, Wisconsin-Stout (12-4, 0-2 WIAC) began to explode offensively as they made it a double-digit lead, 17-7. Katie Moser added a pair of kills to cut into the deficit, but the Blue Devils' advantage was too large as they took the first set 25-14.
- Emineth came out strong offensively in the second set, nailing three kills while Natalie Martinez knocked in an ace as the Raiders took a 6-4 lead. After the Blue Devils trickled in points to take a 9-7 lead, the two sides went back and forth all the way 17-15. A 5-0 run from the Blue Devils put them in the driver's seat for them to not look back as they took the set 25-18. The Raiders couldn't find a rhythm offensively in the third set, giving up a 7-0 run to start and hitting negative for the set to drop it 25-10.
- Emineth led the way in the match, racking up eight kills while Maddie Abel had eight assists and Morgan Borchardt had seven. Ana Knutson was consistent at the net, having three blocks while Abel controlled the backline having seven digs.
- vs. RV Wisconsin-Platteville
- After trading 3-0 runs to begin, Wisconsin-Platteville (9-5, 2-0 WIAC) took full control almost instantly, finding themselves ahead 13-5. Alyssa Rusch found her rhythm late, tallying three kills in an 6-0 run to make a large charge into the deficit, but the Pioneers got the final point they needed for the set one win, 25-18.
- The Pioneers made a 5-0 run to begin the second set, but the Raiders were helped with a pair of errors to cut the deficit to 5-4. The errors from Platteville continued to help the Red & White stay in contention until they began to pull away and take the set 25-19. The Pioneers once again took lead from the start in the third set and didn't look back, winning 25-17.
- Ashley Murphy and Rusch led the offensive, grabbing seven kills with Abel making 13 assists and Brooke Fledderman making eleven. Abel once again made double-digit digs getting ten while Martinez had three service aces.
WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will have one final nonconference match on Tuesday, September 30
th, when they make the short trip over to face Carroll University at 7:00 p.m.
