HOW IT HAPPENED
- UChicago (1-1-1, 0-0-0 UAA) used the home turf to their advantage, only letting MSOE (2-1-1, 0-0-0 NACC) get one shot off the first half. That shot came in the 13th minute as Owen Gendrich said the ball just over the top of the net missing the Maroons' goalie. Asher Harris stopped both shots he faced as the score remained scoreless at the break.
- After Harris made a save in the 65th minute, the Raiders recorded their first shot on goal two minutes but was saved. Wylie Wright helped the Raiders' offensive continue to try and breakthrough in the 73rd minute with a shot towards the goal but was also saved as well. The Maroons were able to pick up a major opportunity in the 76thminute, converting on a penalty kick opportunity for the first goal of the game, stealing it as the Raiders could only muster up one more shot the rest of the way
