#20 Men's Volleyball Continues Conference Roll in Win Over Falcons

MEQUON, Wis. – Making the quick turnaround from last night's match, the #20 MSOE men's volleyball team defeated Concordia University Wisconsin Saturday afternoon in four sets, hitting a staggering .356 for the match.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Concordia Wisconsin (1-12, 1-3 NACC) didn't waste time to gain control of set one, leading 9-3 to open the match. After MSOE (10-5, 3-0 NACC) cut it down to four, Matthew Schultz made his presence known at the net, assisting on three blocks in the middle of a 6-0 run to lead 12-10 at the midway point. The Falcons knocked in a kill to break up the scoring run, but Schultz immediately picked it back up with Seth Thomas and Bram Griever following suit, pushing the lead to 15-11. The Raiders began to put the pedal to the medal, winning the set 25-16.
  • After the Falcons grabbed the early advantage, the Raiders began to roll on a 7-2 run with Schultz blocking a pair of attacks solo to lead 11-6. The Falcons didn't blink to grab the lead back and after trading back and forth going well past the 25-point mark, the Falcons would snag the set win 30-28.
  • Callan Harris got set two started getting four kills to put the Raiders ahead 6-2. A 6-1 run capped with a block from Matthew Schultz extended the lead 18-10 before taking the set soundly 25-18. The Raiders kept the train rolling in set four with Harris connecting on four kills on a 8-2 opening statement. The Falcons roared back to tie up the set at 16 but the Raiders never allowed to take the lead, ending it in four 25-23.
