RESULTS Denison University – 4 MSOE RAIDERS - 1 MSOE RAIDERS - 6 Adrian College - 9 HOW IT HAPPENED Game One MSOE (1-5) trailed Denison (3-4) after the opposition brought an unearned run across in the first inning after untimely error from the Raiders put on a runner on third base to open the game. Trailing 1-0 through two innings, Jayda Nelson tied the game up in the third inning, doubling to left field and bringing Autumn Sadler around to score. Denison would add another run in the fourth inning to take a 2-1 lead, turning the heat up on the Raiders. An unfortunate double play stifled the Raiders best scoring chance down the stretch, as the Red and White would allow two more Denison runs to score off of errors, dropping the first game of the afternoon 4-1. Game Two In game two, the Raiders would once again trail early, before taking a 2-1 lead in the third inning after a Rikka Ludvigson singled brought Nelson across. Adrian would rally for six runs with two in the top of the fourth inning, tallying four hits and a walk while taking advantage of two errors from the Red and White. Caroline Fouras would crack a double to score Emma Smith and jump start a short MSOE rally, as she scored three batters later on a single from Nelson. A Carlee Emery sacrifice fly would bring the Raiders back within striking distance, with the Bulldogs leading 7-5 after four innings. Adrian would tag the Raiders for two more runs in the fifth, effectively ending MSOE's rally as a sac fly from Fouras would be the last run for the Red and White in the fifth as they fell 9-6 to close their first day of the slate. WHO'S ON DECK The Raiders take on Anderson University and Maryville College tomorrow, Saturday, March 14th. Game one is set for an 11:00 A.M. (ET) start.
