Illinois Tech - 0
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Illinois Tech (4-11, 3-3 NACC) couldn't get any attacks to land early to put MSOE (12-5, 5-0 NACC) ahead 6-2 from the jump. Callan Harris began to find a rhythm as he killed five balls with two aces as the Raiders exploded to a 21-7 advantage. The Scarlet Hawks found their way back in off Raider attack errors but was silenced after Hunter Carroll finished things off to win set one 25-13.
- The Raiders grabbed the early advantage but was matched when the Scarlet Hawks took their first lead of the match 11-9. Back-to-back kills from Seth Thomas put the Raiders back in front 14-13 with the Raiders unable to extend it until set point when Harris finished things off to win 26-24.
- Matthew Schultz connected on a pair of kills early to put the Raiders in the driver's seat to begin set three as Thomas went back-to-back a few rallies later to lead 9-4. The Scarlet Hawks cut it down to three at the midway point but a 7-2 run that included four kills and an ace from Harris got it to match point. After the Scarlet Hawks put together their final push, Parker Rings called game with a kill to win 25-19.
