Before MSOE: Pitched two seasons at Itasca Community College ... posted a 2.53 ERA over 113.2 innings ... appeared in 24 games with six starts ... threw two no-hitters as a sophomore--striking out 11 and walking three in six innings vs. Mesabi Range; struck out 14 against one walk in seven innings against Hibbing ... led the team with a 2.20 ERA in 64.1 innings that season.
