Milwaukee School of Engineering

Bill Massoels became the men's cross country/track and field head coach in August of 2018 and took over the helm for the women's cross country program in June of 2020.

Coaching Experience Outside of MSOE

• Head cross country/track and field coach at St. Joseph's College (Ind.) from 1990-2017. During his time at St. Joe's, Massoels coached 27 All-Americans and was named Great Lakes Valley Conference Coach of the Year two times. In 1999, he guided the Puma men to their first-ever GLVC Indoor Track & Field Championship. Also served at athletic director for 18 years. 
• Director of cross country/track and field at Cardinal Stritch University (2017-2018)

Playing Career

• Was on St. Joseph's cross country & track and field teams all four years during his undergrad studies.
• Was named captain twice (1986-1987, 1988-1989)
• School record holder in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters 

Education

• Graduated from St. Joseph's College (Ind.) with a degree in journalism.

Personal

• Lives in Milwaukee with his wife of 30 years, Teresa. Father of three.
